As another year draws to a close and the Holiday Season starts, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our partners, local and overseas, for their continued support in 2023.
After an ambitious budget we have achieved yet another record-breaking year, topped off with being named “UKInbound Tour Operator of the Year”. This is testament to the hard work of our partners and to our wonderful ASA “family”. The teams across Scotland, England, Wales, France & other locations remotely have all worked incredibly hard – not just to handle the business to the high service levels expected at ASA, but also adapting to the ever-changing business environment.
We’ve been pleased to be able to push forward with areas like staff wellness. Our relationship with “Spill”, a remote employee mental health support network, available to all our employees from day one, continues to be well received and allows us to talk about this important issue more openly. We’ve created opportunities for remote colleagues to join face-to-face at a range of socials as well as plenty of inter-office movement. Within the existing hybrid and work from abroad framework this has enabled us to evolve the original culture of ASA whilst still holding onto our core values. All companies have adapted as they see best and there is no one size fits all, but we are pleased with what we have achieved.
The new London office became fully operational in June this year with double the capacity. This included an outdoor space as well as a long overdue “relaxation” room. We celebrated our 45th company anniversary with an extra special company weekend away to a certain Greek island, followed by a Travel Trade party in London attended by 600 guests.
Last week saw our “profit share scheme” for team members of five years or longer return, for the first time going over pre-COVID levels. We were also once again able to announce that December will include a 13th month salary for the entire team for the second year running, which they all thoroughly deserve. We are proud to call ASA our “family”.
For 2024 we have set our sights set on introducing a wider range of European product and to continue to grow the company whilst building on the wonderful existing relationships with our key partners.
From us all at ASA, we thank you for your ongoing support and wish you a Happy Festive Season and a Peaceful New Year for you and your loved ones
