The Medieval Palace at the Tower of London re-opens 23 May 2025:

Medieval Palace at the Tower of London

The Medieval Palace at the Tower of London includes the remaining buildings of the royal lodgings created for medieval monarchs; St Thomas’s Tower, the Wakefield Tower, and the Lanthorn Tower.

The Medieval Palace at the Tower of London will explore the stories of the kings and queens who shaped and lived at the Tower, the households who served them, and the fascinating world they lived in.

What is happening?

The Tower of London’s royal apartments that once hosted medieval kings and queens will be re-imagined in a new permanent display opening this May, transporting visitors back to the 13th century through innovative storytelling, hands-on interactives, and new multisensory displays. These displays will take visitors  on an immersive journey into the medieval world.
