ASA celebrated 45 years of trading with friends & colleagues from the industry in central London last week, at Soho venue, 100 Wardour Street, with over 500 guests from across the country and beyond. The event was the first big get-together since the 40th and was part of the year’s anniversary celebrations.
our story:
ASA was founded by the late Angela Shanley in 1978. A small company with a big reputation, Angela set the tone with the long-term partnership and “relationships not numbers” ethos that has been maintained and built on over the years and is now firmly embedded in ASA culture. Under the current direction of CEO, Adonis Farantouris, and fellow company directors, Michael Gebreslassie & Anak McSporran, ASA has seen considerable expansion and success.
Despite the pandemic, ASA returned to higher than pre-COVID levels with 2022 & 2023 both best-ever years, on top of the unbroken pre-pandemic consecutive record-breaking years. The group relocated to larger London premises earlier in the year, and with the Edinburgh office close to capacity, a bigger Scotland location beckons in late 2024.
The brands “TravelTeam@ASA”, inbound specialists for the Nordic markets, and “Cambria@ASA”, the experts for Wales, continue to grow alongside the core ASA brand which also includes a selection of European options in addition to the original UK & Ireland destinations.
ASA were named “UKinbound Tour Operator of the Year 2023” in September this year, setting the stage perfectly for their sapphire anniversary celebrations.
We thank all our partners at home and abroad for their trust and partnership – past, present and future.
