A slightly later than usual announcement, but all news is good news right?

Back in the darker days of 2020, a glimmer of light appeared when we heard the great news that we won Scotland’s Heritage ‘Tour Operator of the Year’ Award. After a ‘wee’ wait (ok 2 years, thanks Covid!) we finally got to receive our Award in person from representatives of the Society: Liz Young from the National Museum of Scotland & Scotland’s Heritage Partnership) and Pietro Cecchini from the Scotch Whisky Experience.

Anak McSporran, Managing Director of Angela Shanley Associates said: “This is as much of an honour now as it was when we first heard the news in 2020!  We are so very proud to even be considered for Scotland’s Heritage Tour Operator of the Year and are delighted to be presented with this award.  Our Scottish business has gone from strength to strength since the opening of the Edinburgh office in 2018 as have our relationships with our local partners, and we look forward to developing those connections even more in the future.”

Scotland’s Heritage is the collaboration of 20 /25 heritage attraction partners around Scotland, who represent the sector collectively, with over 800 attractions around the country and a joint presence at VisitScotland Expo annually. The Tour Operator Awards were launched by the group in 2013 to recognise and show appreciation to the travel operators who work creatively and consistently to so brilliantly support the Scottish visitor attraction sector.
