A world of fun to explore for the whole family this summer at BODY WORLDS London

BODY WORLDS London is the perfect destination for kids this summer, today announcing its jam-packed school holidays programme, brimming with fun and educational activities for the whole family to enjoy.

The ever-popular Junior Doctors programme – the perfect activity for inquisitive young minds – returns with a special summer holidays timetable, running every Sunday at 10:30am and every Wednesday at 2pm. Budding doctors, nurses and health experts aged 8-12 will get the chance to don their white coats and stethoscopes and go on a bespoke tour of the museum with a real life doctor who will be able to answer all their questions on the human body and anatomy. From learning how to do CPR properly in the interactive area to taking their own blood pressure to learning all about the importance of mental wellbeing on your overall health, it’s a truly brain-busting and mind-boggling experience for kids.

Falling on the first Friday of every month, Artist Days at BODY WORLDS London have been a roaring success since they began in earlier this year, and this continues over summer on 2 August and 6 September. A selected group of artists are given exclusive all-day access to the museum and have the opportunity to truly study and capture the human form in any way they want.

Adults don’t get to have all the fun though, and due to the incredible popularity of Artists Days, BODY WORLDS London are extending the invite out to all mini Michaelangelos and little Leonardo Da Vincis who want to try their hand at artfully capturing the exhibits in the museum. On 9 and 23 August, a special Junior Artists Days Summer Special will take place, as kids will have the chance to spend the whole day exploring all three floors of the world-famous anatomy museum and capturing what they see on paper. For children under 16 years old, all you need to do is apply at artistday@bodyworlds.co.uk and send some examples of your work.

The London Lates also continue on the last Friday of every month throughout summer; on 30 August, BODY WORLDS London will extend its opening hours to 10pm and hold a range of complimentary wellbeing workshops. In July visitors will be able to learn all about Crystal Sound Healing Baths with expert Holly David and in August, Reiki and Life Coaching with Johanna Thea in the chilled out Zen Zone part of the exhibition.

BODY WORLDS London have also teamed up with some of their mouth-watering neighbours Planet Hollywood and Sophie’s Steakhouse to refuel the whole family with their Meal & Travel Package Deals. With both restaurants just round the corner, it’s the perfect way to make a day of it for the whole family.

And to top it all off, BODY WORLDS London’s Family Trail will be running throughout the summer holidays with an interactive and activity-led route through the museum for mums, dads and little ones alike.
