About this Attraction

A highland distillery on Glasgow’s doorstep. Glengoyne is distilled more slowly than any other malt whisky. They nurse the spirit through the stills to create the complex, fruity, award-winning spirit of which they are so rightly proud. They never rush anything here and neither should you. Come and see them, meet the team. Have a dram. Shop. Create your very own, unique Glengoyne single malt. But, above all, take your time and relax.

Guided Tour

In the stillness of their quiet glen, they know that patience is rewarded their Distillery Ambassadors will take your guests on the unhurried journey our spirit makes – through the mashtun and washbacks to the swan-necks of their copper pot stills. They’ll discover what makes the ‘Glengoyne Way’ so unique and why for every minute other whiskies spend in their stills, their spends three. In the No.1 Warehouse, they’ll learn about the difference the wood makes to the spirit and how it deepens and intensifies in colour over the years. And then for the tasting… in the comfort of Burnfoot Lodge, overlooking the beautiful waterfall and glen, they’ll taste two whiskies from the Glengoyne Collection.
