Located on the west coast of Scotland, staying on a 300 acre private island, the island boasts gorgeous views overlooking Loch Linnhe and the dramatic Morvern mountains beyond.
The hotel offers a variety of accommodation with 16 bedrooms in the main house, 5 spa suites located in the gardens with private hot tub, 2 garden cottages with 2 bedrooms each which are ideal for families and 6 hilltop reserves located on the hilltop overlooking Loch Linnhe again with private hot tub and balconies. Finally, Arnott’s House the self-catering option with 3 bedrooms is also available, situated a small drive from the hotel.
The public rooms at Eriska all exude comfort and the warmth of hospitality you would expect from a house of this era and yet do not over formalise the areas. Open fireplaces dominate the ground floor, none more so than in the hall where the fire burns constantly every day of the year. The main hall was wood panelled in 1913 with Burr Oak in an attempt to conceal the new wiring in the hotel. The Piano room is the first room entered from the front door and is light and bright as is the drawing room which has soft bright furnishing and sofas and chairs which would tempt any visitor to simply relax and set their mind at ease.
The Library has changed minimally since the turn of the century with an art deco fireplace with very risqué, in those days, figurines dressing the edges of the fireplace and a wonderful selection of whiskies, cocktails and house wines available throughout the day.
The hotel experience delivers unique levels of personal service, with decor blending the traditional with the contemporary. Distant islands form a stunning backdrop to Eriska’s 9 hole golf course, whilst visiting guests can enjoy a host of activities on the grounds and the spa and leisure facilities.
