Full Day Tour – No. 501708

LOCH NESS EXPERIENCE
Duration: 8 hours

Your day begins in Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. Heading south, your first stop is at Dochgarroch, where you can join an optional Loch Ness by Jacobite cruise along the Caledonian Canal and the loch itself. The cruise takes you to the ruins of Urquhart Castle, a must-see for anyone visiting the area. You’ll have time to explore its dramatic setting before rejoining your guide.

You continue to Invermoriston, where you’ll see the iconic stone bridge and, in the right season, possibly spot salmon leaping upstream. Then it’s on to Fort Augustus, a scenic village at the loch’s southern tip. Here, enjoy lunch with loch views, browse the Caledonian Canal Centre, or simply watch the boats pass through the locks.

Next, you travel to the Falls of Foyers, a hidden gem with a short forest walk leading to a stunning waterfall featured in Robert Burns’ poetry. Their final stop is Dores Beach, offering one of the most breathtaking and uninterrupted views down the loch — your last chance to spot Nessie!
You return to Inverness in the early evening, full of stories, memories, and perhaps even a photo of something mysterious in the water…
