Enter the lush vegetation and warm tropical mists of London’s only living rain forest and go on a journey high into the treetops to meet a variety of amazing rain forest species including marmosets and tamarins, sloths, and tamandua. Enter Gorilla Kingdom and feel the serenity of the African forest. Take the gorilla tracking trail and wind your way around the African forest environment. You will get breathtakingly close to our colony of western lowland gorillas! Hit the Beach and join London’s biggest penguin colony. Penguin Beach recreates a South American beach landscape in the heart of London. with stunning colonies of up to 100 Macaroni and Humboldt penguins. The exhibit features a larger pool with underwater viewing areas so you can see our flippered friends fly under the waves.
A large seated demonstration area turns feeding time into and even bigger spectacle than before. London Zoo has opened its biggest and most breath-taking experience yet: Land of the Lions Home to a pride of endangered Asiatic lions, the £5.7m Land of the Lions features an awe-inspiring ‘windowless-view’ of the big cat’s enclosure. Enter the crumbling ruin of an amphitheatre-style Lion Temple and see the majestic big cats roaming just meters away, separated only by fine wires. Land of the Lions will help to support ZSL’s international conversation efforts to protect Asiatic Lions.

Hop around the world and experience some of the rarest and most unique reptiles and amphibians on Earth, in the newly opened Secret Life of Reptiles and Amphibians. From the snake-eating king cobra to mountain chickens and a Philippine crocodile, there’s 33 species to discover.
Come face-to-face with one of nature’s most awesome predators in Tiger Territory, learn about the natural behaviours of Sumatran tigers and discover the conservation issues these creatures face in the wild.
Tiny Giants is a celebration of all things small but mighty, and the sometimes strange but always wonderful world of invertebrates. Also home to a brand new coral reef tank, this indoor experience is one not to be missed.
You’ll love heading down to the beach to watch their colony of Humboldt penguins dive, swim, frolic and feed in England’s largest penguin pool, complete with large underwater viewing windows. And step Into Africa to observe the elegance and grace of the giraffes before moving on to the magnificent residents of Gorilla Kingdom.
