The Oxford On Screen tour will explore Oxford’s role as a backdrop to TV and film, identifying locations featured in productions as diverse as Harry Potter, Saltburn, Wonka, James Bond and Mamma Mia 2 plus the much-loved TV shows Inspector Morse, Lewis, and Endeavour.
Oxford On Screen public tours will last two hours and operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays at 11:30am. The tour can also be booked for private and group parties. All Oxford Official Walking Tours are limited to a maximum of 20 people per group to provide the most positive experience.
The team of friendly, confident guides already offer specialist tours following in the footsteps of authors and academics, including CS Lewis & JRR Tolkien.

The city has been the host of over 40 movies and 7 TV series, and is synonymous with 102 episodes of Inspector Morse, Lewis and Endeavour. The city and its historical university naturally lend itself as the inspiration and backdrop for many stories on screen.
Their expert and passionate guides will show you around the most famous landmarks that have been immortalised on screen, from the Radcliffe Camera in Emerald Fennel’s Saltburn, to the Bodleian Library in Harry Potter, and share the titbits and anecdotes that filming in Oxford can bring.
Tread in Inspector Morse’s footsteps around the pubs of Oxford, follow Lyra (His Dark Materials) around the colleges, and eat with the vampires (A Discovery of Witches) in the historic Covered Market.
