WILD ATLANTIC WAY MOUNTAIN LAKES HIKE
Duration: 3 hours (7 km)
Get away from it all on this classic hiking route along the Wild Atlantic Way.
Starting at sea level we will ascend 300 metres to two mystic mountain lakes nestled in the Urris Hills. The wild Atlantic will be your constant companion with stunning views of Fanad, Lough Swilly, North Inishowen and the Atlantic Ocean.
Along the way you will hear some local stories, learn a bit of history, and get close to nature as we explore the local flora and fauna. A lunch stop with a panoramic view will beat the best restaurants in the world!
Post-hike why not enjoy a swim in the crystal-clear water of the Atlantic at beautiful Lenan Beach – don’t forget your swimming togs (seasonal unless you are very brave!).

Special requirements: waterproof coat and trousers, hat, and gloves, walking boots, lunch and lots to drink (2L), warm clothing and a rucksack to carry it all in. Don’t forget your camera! This hike is on track and mixed terrain which can be wet, boggy, and slippery in places
A good level of fitness is required for this walk which includes 330 metres of ascent
